A SCARCE STEYR 7.92x57mm MAUSER 'GEW. 88' BOLT-MAGAZINE SERVICE RIFLE, serial no. 9358, dated 1894, barrel numbered 9299, 30in. nitro barrel with tubular shroud, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, tangent rear-sight marked from 5-18, receiver ring marked 'WG STEYR 1894', manual flag safety, bayonet lug, likely replacement ramrod, en-bloc magazine, three-quarter length stock with 13in. pull including steel buttplate, sling swivels with reproduction sling, weight 8lb. 14oz.
Other Notes: Rare En-bloc rifle, sold for use in Ecuador.
Most of these were converted to take the spitzer cartridge. This one is not converted, so its a J bore not s bore.
